How to reach our Symposium in Kiel:

by Car:
If you travel by car, stay on the motorway until you reach Kiel. At the end of the motorway (A215), turn left onto Westring and continue until you reach the crossing of Westring and Olshausenstrasse. Turn left onto Olshausenstrasse. Leibnizstrasse starts on the right hand-side after 1.4 km.

by Train:
If you travel by train, get off at Kiel Central Station (Kiel Hbf) and go to the exit in the direction of travel. Turn left at the end of the track and leave the station. The bus stops are just in front of you.

by Plane:
If you fly into Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel, take the Airport Bus ("Kielius") to Kiel Central Bus Station (ZOB). The bus leaves from terminal 1 in front of the airport. The bus company offers a special taxi service for continuation of your journey from ZOB. If you ask the driver, he will order a taxi for you to pick you up at the ZOB. The journey Hamburg to Kiel takes approximately 90 mins.

Alternatively, you may of course take the bus from ZOB to the University.

Bus from Central Station (Kiel Hauptbahnhof) to University

Take bus line No. 61/62 or 60S (Direction Suchsdorf/Projensdorf) to the University. You may also take bus line No. 81/82 (Direction Botanischer Garten). However, you need to cross the street in front of the railway station, the Sophienblatt, since the bus stop is on the other side of the street. Bus ticket costs 2,30 €.

Get off the bus at the bus stop "Leibnizstrasse" in the Olshausenstrasse.

Taxi from Central Station (Kiel Hauptbahnhof) to University

The distance between the Central Station and the University is approximately 6 km. The charge for the transfer by taxi is around 8-10 €.
