      European Association of Sinological Librarians

This WWW subtree introduces the European Association of Sinological Librarians (EASL).
This document and the associated WWW pages provide online access to information on EASL. Included is the Bulletin of the European Association of Sinological Librarians (BEASL), and detailed information on European Sinological Libraries. Apart from that EASL hompage offers access to available online resources dealing with China (and also Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea).
Since the beginning of 1998 I also maintain the libraries' part of the China WWW Virtual Library : Libraries and Library Resources for Chinese Studies. In order to save time and work, and not to copy my own WWW sites, some parts of the new libraries' page are now included in EASL homepage:

This site will be continuously be updated! Please feel free to mail kaun@sino.uni-kiel.de if you know of any other relevant addresses not on this list or any change of current URLs. Your feedback is gratefully appreciated.
These sites are maintained by Matthias Kaun, and always under construction and continuously be updated!

      • Enter [ china ; law ] for "China" and "law".
      • Enter [ china , law ] for "China" or "law".
      • Use # as a wildcard (but de-activate the partial match box in this case!). [ #qin ] will thus also be able to find "guqin" (a Chinese music instrument).
      • Make use of the activated partial match box; thus [ chin ] will find "China" and "Chinese"!
      • Remember that the romanization for Chinese characters used in this guide is Hanyu pinyin.
      • Searching for Chinese characters is not possible.
Many thanks to Dorit Mitterhuber from the Kiel University Computer Center (Rechenzentrum) for her help in adapting this software in this way!
