    Description:The Sinica Collection of the Austrian National Library is a small but precious one. The first books were collected in the 17th century, the largest amount of titles being added in 1946 when the Austrian dip lomat Arthur von Rosthorn's private library of 3000 works was integrated into the collection after his death. Most of the books are on history, but works on literature, religion and phonology are also found. Of some importance are the 200 congshu & Acirc;O ®Ñ (collectanea), including an edition of the Huang-Qing jingjie ¬Ó ²M ¸g ¸Ñ (180 works in 40 volumes), edited by the famous Qing dynasty (1644-1911) scholar Ruan Yuan ¨¿ ¤&ced il; (1764-1849), and a facsimile edition of the Siku quanshu huiyao ¥| ®w ¥þ ®Ñ îP ­n (473 works in 500 volumes), edited during the reign of emperor Qianlong °® ¶© (r. 1736-1796) by Ji Yun &n ot;ö ©û (1724-1805).
