Corona pandemic: CAU cancels events and suspends examinations
Kiel University (CAU) is cancelling all courses with obligatory attendance as well as all public events at the CAU museums until April 19. Exams will be postponed until further notice. Excluded from the regulation are examinations without obligatory attendance as well as individual exams. These restrictions follow a decree of the Ministry of Health in order to reduce the dynamic development of COVID-19 infections. "The pandemic is a very exceptional issue that demands a great deal of flexibility, creativity and patience from all of us. The common goal must be to slow down and contain the pandemic. The health and integrity of our employees, students and guests is the most important factor in all our decisions," said CAU Chancellor Claudia Ricarda Meyer and CAU President Professor Lutz Kipp, explaining the decision, which was closely coordinated with the university's deans.
