Kiel University opens vaccination initiative on Sunday for all citizens
Vaccination with Moderna or Johnson&Johnson possible on campus
The vaccination initiative by a mobile vaccination team of the state will be open to all citizens at Kiel University (CAU) on Sunday, 11 July. From 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., people of legal age who are willing to be vaccinated can come to Kiel University, Hermann-Rodewald-Str. 7, without making an appointment. (Campus area near Audimax). The choice is between the vector vaccine from Johnson&Johnson - for which only one vaccination is required - and the mRNA vaccine from Moderna. If vaccinated for the first time with Moderna, those vaccinated will receive a follow-up appointment for the second vaccination five weeks later, on 15 August, also on the campus of Kiel University.
Vaccinations will be held until around 5 p.m. To avoid an early rush and long waiting times, interested persons should make use of the entire period for the vaccination offer. The waiting area is outdoors, so please bring rain or sun protection and sufficient water if necessary. The vaccination appointments planned for the beginning of next week will remain reserved for students for the time being. The CAU will provide information on the current capacity utilisation of the vaccination line via its Twitter account @kieluni.
