The University Computing Centre (RZ) informs: New service CAU-Cloud released

after being in pilot operation since the beginning of the year with steadily growing numbers of participants, the CAU-Cloud now finally is open to all staff members of the CAU with an active subscription of "general services" on their data center account. You can login to the CAU-Cloud via
The CAU-Cloud presents an important tool for data exchange as well as for collaboration. It allows data synchronization across devices (cf. Dropbox) and allows sharing and collaborative editing of documents (cf. Google Docs). Additional audio- and video chat functionality is provided by the Talk application, which is in an open evaluation phase and does not replace existing web conference solutions.
If you should not have an account with the computing center including general services, you can apply for an account using form 1to use the CAU-Cloud.
To access the CAU-Cloud please use your credentials (username, password) that you are using for the services VPN, Exchange or Windows login to the Active Directory of the CAU.
You can access the CAU-Cloud via the web browser or via a client application for all popular operating systems or mobile clients. Additional information can be found in the service description as well as in the hints & howtos on the webpages of the computing center.
