Corona update: Corona measures from 01.05.2022

Dear members of our university,

For the first time in over two years there is plenty of movement on campus again and the summer semester 2022 is in full swing. We have scrutinised the remaining COVID measures and collected expert medical advice to discuss how our university operations should continue as from 1 May.

On account of the ongoing high rates of infection among university members, the University Board has coordinated with the faculties and the crisis management team and decided to maintain mandatory face masks in all inside CAU rooms up to and beyond 30 April 2022, initially until 15 May 2022. Effective immediately, it is now no longer necessary to submit an emergency plan with the application for a business trip abroad. All other regulations within the Hygiene Conceptual Framework shall remain unchanged. You can find the Hygiene Conceptual Framework and additional information for employees and students on the CAU’s coronavirus website.

The reporting procedure has been simplified on account of the ongoing high rates of infection among university members mentioned above. You can find the adapted and updated reporting trails to download here.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and emphasize that it serves to protect everyone present on campus. We will inform you again soon about whether masks will remain mandatory or not after 15 May 2022.

With kind regards,

Claudia Meyer
