Kiel University cancels two major events in winter

After some events had to be cancelled in the summer semester for health protection reasons, a decision has now also been made on further events for Kiel University. The long lecture night "Night of the Profs" in November and the University Ball in February will not take place. "Against the background of the applicable distance and hygiene measures, the popular event formats cannot be held. For both dates, the focus is on the shared experience on site, this flair cannot be transferred to digital formats," explains organiser Anne Waller. By next winter semester, the pandemic situation will hopefully have eased to such an extent that the university's major public events can take place again.
