Understanding politics

“Politics is becoming ever more complex in our globalised and digital society. My specialist field, Political Theory, provides guidance through the entanglement of politics, culture, industry and the media. We develop terms, models and explanatory patterns that allow us to consider these connections in a critical manner. Populism is just one of the current phenomena worth highlighting. We use the instruments of Political Theory to analyse, on the one hand, the positive and negative sides of populism and, on the other, its diverse variations such as right-wing and left-wing populism or neo-liberal populism.”
