Kids holiday program
Kiel University offers a range of holiday activities to school-age
children (6 to 14 years) in the Easter and autumn breaks, and in the first
three weeks of the Schleswig-Holstein school holidays.
This offer is open to the children of staff members of the University,
Geomar, the IPN (Institute for Science and Mathematics Education), the
ZBW (Information Centre for Economics), the IFW (Kiel Institute for the
World Economy) and the UK-SH (University Hospital of Schleswig-Holstein).

Registration
At the beginning of every year the registration form for the holiday
programs at Easter, in the summer and in the autumn is posted on the homepage
and announced by a special email to all staff.
You will be informed whether or not your child is given a place. Places
are allocated according to the date on the application.

Fees
The participation fees include: insurance (third party and accident
insurance), tickets for public transport or equivalent, entrance and guided
tours and handicraft materials.
Participation fees per week and child:
55-- € (up to 2,300-- € gross monthly family income)
80-- € (up to 3,000-- € gross monthly family income)
105-- € (above 3,001-- € gross monthly family income)
Once you have successfully registered, the Family Service will send you
a bill for the participation fees, prior to the start of the holiday program.
We regret that we cannot accept cash payments!
Cancellation regulations are as follows:
Any cancellation up to 2 weeks prior to the start of the first holiday
program week (not the start of activities!) is free. From then until the
beginning of the holiday program a charge of 50% of the participation
fee is payable. As of the start of the holiday program the full sum is
payable.
Program
The daily program is usually posted on the homepage for viewing 4
weeks before the start of the holidays. A varied program with
trips, swimming and sports days awaits the children.

Opening times
Opening times are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Children should be brought between 8 and 9 a.m. and collected between
4 and 5 p.m.. The meeting place on campus will be posted in the daily
program.
Additionally, there is an early service
available on request. For this you need to register in advance.
Early service from 7 a.m.; cost: 5.00 Euro / hour

Meals
No meals are offered!
Parents should provide their children with enough to eat and drink (especially
in the summer). It is possible to deposit drinks for the whole week in
the activity rooms.
Lunch packets can be ordered from the Studentenwerk SH through the Family
Service. Please make your (binding!) order at familienservice@uv.uni-kiel.de,
up to two weeks before the programme begins.
