Faculty of Arts and Humanities

In November 2010 the Collegium Philosophicum was founded. Its objective is to combine diverse research activities at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and assists top academics in developing their research projects. The core themes selected were Forms of non-understanding Negative Hermeneutics of Perception and Experiencing and dealing with Finiteness.

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities also supports the inter-disciplinary research focus Cultural Regions. As a result of ongoing globalization and modern communication, spatial forming, interweaving and delimitation have developed their own dynamic. In this, aspects such as knowledge transfer, migration and mobility, the construction and presentation of spaces play a major role, both historically and from todays perspective.
