Partners & Sponsors

Success in scientific research requires strong partnerships with non-university institutions. By recognizing this need, the University of Kiel is proud to call numerous national and international institutions, scientific centers, corporations, foundations, and a vast circle of sponsors its partners. They foster pioneering research and aid the University on its way to becoming one of the leading universities in northern Europe.

KARE - Kiel Alliance for Research and Education

KARE is a strong regional network, which is based on partnerships with members of scientific institutions, politics, the private sector, and society in order to promote science at Kiel University.

Sponsors

Private sponsorship has a longstanding tradition at Kiel University. After all, the University was initially established as a foundation. Today, the university can draw upon many sponsors - many of whom studied, researched or taught here themselves. Thanks to the financial and charitable commitments made by numerous individuals and institutions, Kiel University is able to sponsor excellent projects, allocate grants and prizes and invest in the university-wide infrastructure.
