The technologies offered by the Center for Molecular Biosciences (ZMB) are available to all the faculties. Its expertise in combination with immediate access to the databank PopGen provides an important infrastructural component in a range of national based projects in genomic research (NGFN , GABI, FUGATO).

The construction of a new building, which is scheduled to be finished by March 2012, will optimize the infrastructure within a common location, which will allow the scientists located under the same roof to intensify their collaboration. They will also be able to make a more effective use of their already efficient, high-quality infrastructure.
