Working Group Applied Physics / Marine Measuring Technique (APM)

The working group focuses on applied physical, measuring technical and offshore technological questions basically in connection with shallow, tidal coastal waters and estuaries as they are given around Schleswig-Holstein and in marine biotechnology. The work implies the analyses of data and time series to understand possible coherencies in the current areas of investigation.

The group practise interdisciplinary networking with the other working groups of FTZ. Mainly the following topics are currently of interest:

-Development of measuring units for monitoring in coastal areas (e.g. North Sea Monitoring Project, BlueBox).
-Research on photobioreactors for microalgae cultivation

-Development of an fish rearing system for respiratory measurements
-Correlation analysis
-Weather station at FTZ
