Curriculum Vitae


  • since 08/ 2011: Ph.D. student on the topic: "Individual activity-, migrating- and dispersion- patterns of shellducks (Tadorna tadorna)". Funded by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU). A cooperation between the FTZ and NABU (German BirdLife partner). Closer information on the project is available at www.nabu.de/brandgansforschung.
  • 01 - 06/2011: Scientific assistant at Michael-Otto-Institut im NABU (www.bergenhusen.nabu.de): Especially ringing of Northern Lapwings (Vanellus vanellus), Black-tailed Godwits (Limosa limosa), Oystercatchers (Haematopus ostralegus). Further collaberation at diverse projects of the institute.
  • 04 - 12/2010: maternity leave.
  • 04/2009 - 04/2010: Employee at the environmental consultancy Büro für faunistische Fachfragen (www.bff-linden.de): Recording of breeding birds, bats, analyses of the data and composing of expertises.
  • 10/2008 - 03/2009: Employee at the Bayerisches Landesamt für Umwelt: plausibility control of data for the Atlas of german breeding birds (ADEBAR).
  • 08/2008 - 03/2009: Compilation of the annual ornithological report for Hesse (2005-2007) on request of the Hessische Gesellschaft für Ornithologie und Naturschutz (HGON).
  • 06 - 07/2008: field assistant in Iceland for a project on the Black-tailed Godwit (Limosa limosa islandica): search of nests, installation and analyses of nestcameras, assistant for bird ringing and taking blood samples. Superviced by the University of Groningen, Netherlands.
  • 06/2007 - 04/2008: Compilation of the diploma thesis at the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology: Isolation und characterisation of eleven microsatellite markers of the Northern Wheatear (Oenanthe oenanthe), parental analyses followed by statistical analyses on extrapair paternity and on conservation genetics
  • 10/2002 - 04/2008: University studies in Biology at the Philipps-Universität Marburg
