In connection with the preparation for system accreditation, the Central Committee for Quality Management (ZAQM) deals primarily with the questions of what understanding of quality Kiel University has for the area of study and teaching and how this quality can be ensured. The Committee therefore focuses on the internal monitoring of the quality management at Kiel University and the measures that can be derived from the results of central evaluations. The Central Committee for Quality Management (ZAQM) deals with the strategic instruments of certification and further development of degree programmes, e.g. evaluations. It serves as a strategic discussion panel to advice on the further development of concepts and structures for study and teaching.

• internal monitoring of the Quality Management (QM) System (exchange on conceptual and practical questions, advice on evaluation and certification statutes, exchange on results of internal certification)

• derivation of measures from central evaluation results (report on the results of the general student survey, the graduate study, the survey of new students and dropouts)
