Central Ethics Committee


The Central Ethics Committee is a compulsory committee according to the High Education Act (HSG). Its tasks consist in the preparation of fundamental decisions of the university in questions of ethical relevance, the receipt of an overview of third-party funding projects pursuant to section 11 (2) HSG, the advice on further development of standards on ethical aspects in research, teaching, transfer etc. under changing framework conditions and hazards. It prepares decisions and statements of the Senate on overarching issues, e.g. for the adoption of policy documents and codes on ethical aspects in research and teaching or with regard to the structure of advisory bodies.
