Information on the 2020 Committee election

The elections of all the status groups of the university to the Extended Senate and the Faculty Conventions will take place from June 4 to June 17, 2020. The election period ends on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 5 pm.


Due to the current Corona crisis the election will be held ONLINE for all member groups. Please find more information on the specifics of this procedure on this website: Information on online elections 2020.


The electoral office will also not be opened to the public until the restrictions have been lifted. Until then, you can reach the electoral office at:


The election announcement will be published in early April. Please find a file to download here. All members of the university will also be informed about the elections by circular mail.


  • Forms for nomination lists are only available in electronic form for download on this website: election nominations list. The lists can be submitted to the electoral office until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Contrary to the previous procedure, the written declarations of consent of the candidates may also be submitted by email. A preliminary list of candidates is available from May 5 to May 8, 2020 at the electoral office. Election groups and election lists can publish information material, candidate profiles or election programs on request. Please contact Ms. Mielke-Vesper if necessary. The documents will be published on the page election lists 2020.


  • Only those who are registered in the electoral roll can vote. The electoral roll is available at the electoral office from April 24 to May 11, 2020.


  • Each person entitled to vote is only entitled to vote in one electoral roll and in one faculty. Those who belong to several electoral groups have the right to vote in the first group mentioned in the electoral regulations. Students who study in several faculties have determined at the time of enrolment in which faculty they exercise their membership rights.


  • Postal voting documents can be requested using this form by Tuesday, June 2, 2020. In addition, a personal application at the electoral office is possible. With the dispatch or handing over of the postal voting documents, those entitled to vote are excluded from the online election.
