Lecture: Fault-tolerant power electronics for high reliability

Power electronics is being increasingly incorporated into applications which require a high degree of reliability. This is particularly significant in the power grid (or offshore wind farms), because the supply to consumers must be ensured for a long service life of the inverter. This lecture describes the problems which can arise and presents innovative power electronic solutions to increase inverter reliability.
