Enable AICC-Links between different Nickels-Portals

In Nickels you can make your course material available for learners and teachers from other Nickels portals and open your content for reuse. This is made possible via AICC-Link, a special standard link type for e-learning resources, which is provided in your course properties.
To apply AICC to your course, you need a login for both portals or a partner in the second portal. These are the steps to follow:

  1. Switch to tutor mode (Learner Mode Button) -> (Tutor Mode Button) on the upper left corner of your window in the target seminar of your source portal.
  2. Choose the tab 'Information' on seminar level and copy the indicated AICC-Link. If you wish to create links to parts of your seminar, choose these parts in the navigation on the left of your window and copy the according link.

  3. Select the tab 'Publication' on seminar level to enable access via AICC to this seminar.

  5. Log out of the source portal and switch to the Nickels portal where the link should be provided.
  6. Create a new element in the learning module (not necessary when your link should be provided in already existing structure elements -> continue with step 7):
Above the tree structure, a symbol panel for adding, removing, and moving a material within the tree is available, to create a content structure within your learning module (see also: Add material to Learning Modules).

  8. Choose 'External' link type to establish AICC

-> step 2) into the URL-array to enable the connection to the desired seminar
