Publishing Seminars
Nickels provides the function Publication after a certain seminar is created (Creating Seminars) and filled with content (Compiling Seminars). The next few steps explain the available settings.
-
Switch to author mode
->
on the upper left corner of your window.
-
Press the tab 'Publication', then you see following screen (figure below).

Now, a general decision should be made: publish or not? A certain seminar could be published for all registered users in Nickels or under eligible conditions.
These conditions are:- 'Groups': Publication only for elected groups (press add button).
- 'Specific period': Define a period for publication (enter directly or choose dates out of the calender).
- 'Password': Define a password to give access to the published seminars (-> Enter password). This function doesn't concern single learning modules or material, but complete seminars.
- 'Maximum number of users': Define a maximum number of users who are allowed to access your seminar.
By the way, these different kinds of conditions can be combined in regard to the tutor's requirements. - Furthermore the tutor can decide whether AICC-users should be able to open the seminar per link or not.
- Don't forget to save your changes!
