Post-doctoral Position in Stable Isotope Analysis
The Archaeological Stable Isotope Laboratory at the Christian-Albrechts University in Kiel invites appli-cations for a post-doctoral position in stable isotope analysis to begin April 1st, 2013. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to conduct research involving the analysis of stable isotopes to address issues relating to animal and human mobility, animal exploitation, and crop management in modern and archaeological contexts, although other research topics will be considered. This position also involves some teaching with a requirement of 4 LVS per fourteen week semester (approximately 3 in-class hours per week; two semesters per year).
The post is intended to further additional scientific qualification (e.g. Habilitation). The duration of this limited-term, full-time post is for three years at the TV-L13 level. An extension is not expected.
Requirements include a Ph.D. in anthropological archaeology or geochemistry and a record of achievement in the use of stable isotopic analysis.
