Second generation, first results
Part 2 of the Graduate School Introductory Workshop for the second generation of the doctoral students was held in the Landeskulturzentrum Salzau from October 29th to 30th. Salzau lies thirty kilometres in Eastern direction of Kiel in the midst of a calm landscape. The weather, the park and the chimney room invited for incentive networking discussions. Under the auspices of beautiful autumn conditions the gathering left a good memory on two retreating days with about thirty papers by the new students. They introduced their projects and presented first results under the frame of half a year gone by since they started. Fruitful comments of all participants encouraged for more studying and teaching activities to come. Principal investigators of the GS stayed for a long afternoon of considerations about future plans for the GS.
