Thesis: Rockets of Renaissance. Aspects of the Technological Development and Cultural Manifestation of European Seafaring Between 1400 to 1588. 2002 - 2004 B.A. in Archaeology at the University of Southampton. Thesis: How is the Importance of Cogs Reflected in Hanseatic Seafaring? 2000 - 2002 Studies in Classical and Prehistoric Archaeology, Latin and Medieval History at the University of Hamburg.
Work experience	2009 - 2010 Member of the editorial staff and translator of the 7th Lübecker Kolloquium zur Stadtarchäologie im Hanseraum (Lübeck Colloquium on Urban Archaeology in the Hanseatic Sphere) proceedings on urban fortifications, Lübeck, Germany. 2009 Intern at the Vasa Museum where a two-month survey was implemented on the orlop-deck of the Swedish warship VASA in Stockholm, Sweden. 2007 - 2008 Archaeologist on the ‘Bath-Southgate (SO-SGT-06)’ rescue excavation of the Museum of London Archaeology Service (MoLAS), United Kingdom. 2007 Maritime archaeologist on the rescue excavation ‘Teerhof BA1’, responsible for the documentation and publication of a late medieval shipwreck in Bremen, Germany. 2006 Archaeologist for Headland Archaeology Ltd. at rescue excavations in the vicinity of Carlow, Ireland.
