Ready, Set, Go – find the AgroGenes!
Apply for the Master of Science Programme “AgriGenomics“ now
According to a study published by the United Nations, the global population is expected to reach 9 billion by 2050. Yet feeding the current population already poses a great problem for governments around the world. How do they reconcile the need for a sufficient food with the need to maintain as many natural habitats as possible? Young researchers in the Master of Science Programme „AgriGenomics“ at Kiel University are trying to find ways for these seemingly conflicting goals. The aim is to genetically improve agricultural plants and livestock in order to create more effective and sustainable food production. This International Degree Programme is unique among Master courses in Germany. Until June 1st, graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in agricultural science, biology, bioinformatics, biochemistry, genetics and related disciplines are eligible to enroll.
“AgriGenomics“ is an international course. All courses will be held in English. Even though admission is not restricted, an aptitude test is obligatory.
