Science contributes significantly to economic and social development in the state. Kiel University (CAU) and its partners will be proving this from 23 to 27 April at the Hannover Messe 2018. “With 35 lectures, numerous exhibits and partner presentations, we will be providing the knowledge and technology transfer from Schleswig-Holstein with the stage it deserves,” emphasised Professor Lutz Kipp, President of Kiel University, and thanked the researchers involved for their contributions.
The CAU’s joint programme with the state of Schleswig-Holstein, the European XFEL and KiWi GmbH (Kiel’s Business and Structural Development Agency) will be under the motto “Ways to Solutions” this year. Innovative projects will be presented to guests from politics, industry and science, from topics such as energy and tech, social and health, or student start-up solutions from the university. These include a new, porous material for adsorption heat pumps, for example, a software solution for clinical Big Data, or a fish production plant for anyone.
For Minister of Science, Karin Prien, “Kiel University’s trade show presence impressively demonstrates what outstanding research is produced at Schleswig-Holstein’s largest state university. The state government accompanies and supports the CAU on this successful path and I am pleased that the presence at the Hannover Messe 2018 will contribute towards making their work even more visible and recognised across state borders. Good luck!”
The university’s programme for the trade show can now be viewed online here: www.uni-kiel.de/hannovermesse/en. You can also find a link for free tickets to the trade show if you are interested in visiting the CAU booth at the Hannover Messe.
