- Experimental coevolution between C. elegans and its micro-parasite Bacillus thuringiensis
- Experimental evolution of antibiotic resistance and virulence in pathogenic bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, etc)
- Cooperation and external immune defence in the Red Flour Beetle Tribolium castaneum
- Diversity of microorganisms associated with C. elegans in nature
- Natural ecology of C. elegans (fruits, isopods, snails, compost)
- The function of C. elegans lysozymes and C type lectins in immunity

Requirements
- BSc project: Successful completion of module biol 165
- MSc project: Successful completion of one normal Master module from our group (either biol 226, 227, or 250) and also one lab practical (either module biol 263 or 280)
