I am working on a PhD project about the taxonomy of the Helicinidae. For this purpose, I carry out a lot of field work in the rain forests of Costa Rica.
My research focusses on molluscs, in particular on the taxonomy of this group. Whereas my master thesis dealt with arctic marine molluscs (mainly Bivalvia), I am now tracing a group of land snails (Helicinidae) from the Central American tropics.
