The doctoral researcher community in Kiel works on diverse disciplines and topics, yet often we know little about each other’s research. We will be spending a whole day networking with other doctoral researchers in marine sciences, explaining our research to each other in a simple yet profound manner. The FYORD Doc Day is an event to exchange, learn and communicate. A day where science meets communication meets art!

But how? We’ll go through some easy tricks, asking “So what?” ”What if” and sharing other tricks and approaches.

We go a step further using a visual approach– we’ll be joined by an expert trainer in science visualisation (Barbara Schneider who sketched us the graphic above), who will unleash our creativity in simple drawings and images.

To register for the FYORD Doc Day you have to be a FYORD member, so please sign up at the FYORD - Portal for a membership first. When your registration is accepted you can find all FYORD events in your account and register to the respective event.
