Citizen test centres at the CAU campus

On April 29, 2021, a second test station will open at the campus. In addition to the offer at the Studentenwerk (Sechseckbau) near Mensa I, interested parties will now also find a testing opportunity in the University's Sports Forum, Olshausenstraße 72. The two testing stations are available to all citizens and thus also to members of the University. You should make use of this offer especially if you need an official confirmation about the test. Such a confirmation cannot be issued by the University.

The testing station in the Sports Forum is open from Monday to Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., if necessary the opening hours will be adjusted according to demand. Please note that an appointment reservation via the website www.testzentrum-kiel.de (German only) is necessary. The reservation works via the browser. You do not need an app. The citizen test station in the Sechseckbau, which has already been open since April 6, has extended its opening hours and service. The station is open to all citizens Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. You can also get tested here several times a week.

Test centre at the Sechseckbau

In cooperation with a regional doctor's practice, the Studentenwerk Schleswig-Holstein will open a Corona testing centre in the hexagon building near Mensa I in Kiel on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.

Together with a regional doctor's practice, the Studentenwerk SH has opened a Corona test centre in the Sechseck building at Mensa I in Kiel. In addition to students and employees of the Student Union and the University, all other citizens can also be tested there free of charge at least once a week. Persons under the age of 18 may only take the test if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Key facts:

How is  the test carried out?
By throat swab. The result is available within a maximum of ten minutes.

When is the test done?
The test centre is open Monday to Sunday from 8 am to 7 pm. 

Is an appointment necessary?
No. The test centre can be visited without prior appointment or registration.

What do I need to bring with me?
Anyone who wants to be tested must bring an identity card.

Where can you find information about the test centre?

Who carries out the tests?
The staff carrying out the tests are trained by the ENT physician Prof. Dr. med. Godber S. and the ENT physician Dr. med. Anna Godbersen and have a medical background. (e.g. medical students, nurses, emergency medical services).

How is the test carried out? 
The nasal swab is preferred. Alternatively, a throat swab can be taken at the request of the person being tested.

How do citizens register?
Book a free appointment via the centre's website. The reservation works via browser. You do not need an app.

How do citizens receive their test results? How long does it take to receive the result? 
The result can be accessed via a QR code. You will receive this when you take the test. Usually, the result is available after about 15-30 minutes. 
 
How often can I be tested? 
According to the test ordinance, you can be tested as often as you like.
 
What has to be taken into account?
Those who are to be tested must bring an identification document with them.
