FYORD Retreat

The interdisciplinary program FYORD – Foster Young Ocean Researcher Development – addresses early career marine scientists in Kiel, from master students over doctoral candidates to postdoctoral researchers.
The program´s goal is to build a strong network of all early career researchers working on marine topics from Kiel Marine Science at Kiel University and GEOMAR and to establish a status group overarching career orientation within and outside of academia for a marine related job market.
At this kick-off meeting for all participants, we will introduce our program with all the associated programs including your feedback to the program for further development. You will have the opportunity to meet your peers, get advice from, share experiences with older or younger peers, and build new connections throughout the marine related scientific community in Kiel.
We are looking forward to meeting you all in person and to discuss your own dreams, shape a program to your own benefit and establish a lively network. Registration is free.
