30th International Workshop on Optical Wave & Waveguide Theory and Numerical Modelling (OWTNM)

© Jürgen Haacks

The research area of nanophotonics, the study of light at the nanoscale, has experienced a dramatic growth in the recent years. The advancements in this field are particularly related to the developments in the theoretical and numerical techniques, that not only allow for accurate predictions but also for reliable interpretation of the experimental results. Joining the theoretical developments with advanced and novel characterization techniques that are able to generate, probe and control light at the nanoscale is at the forefront of our research interest.

Since 1992 the yearly OWTNM workshop provides a forum for lively debates to bring forward new ideas in the field of theoretical and computational photonics. The 30th annual meeting will take place in Kiel!

The topics of the workshop include nanophotonic devices and materials. It aims at an open discussion between experiment, modeling and theory, numerical methods and tools.
