Around 12,500 interested visitors came to the "kieler uni live" tent at Kiellinie over the past nine days. In its 350th jubilee year, Kiel University presented itself for the fifth time with a diverse programme for Kieler Woche. On Sunday, 28 June, the opening church service and the concluding presentation were especially popular. This presentation is traditionally held by the "Prof. of the Night" - this year it was Professor Rudolf Meyer-Pritzl. In his entertaining speech, the lawyer described possible legal problems at the marriage and dating service. The "Future Ocean Dialogue" touring exhibition from the cluster of excellence “The Future Ocean" and the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel in the neighbouring tent was also very popular during the festival week. Those responsible were very pleased with the event. The colourful programme from all eight faculties invited visitors to join in, be amazed and experience new things. Intensive language courses, exciting scientific presentations and the Science Show by Kiel's doctoral candidates completed the programme.
