This upcoming weekend (September 13th an 14th) members of the team “CAU 350” will face the competition at two major sporting events in Kiel to draw attention to the university’s 350th anniversary in 2015. On Saturday, September 13th, a team consisting of 18 employees of Kiel University will start at the dragon boat race at the Hörn. At 2:45 pm they are competing against participants from various other public sectors in the VIP-category. On Sunday, September 14th, 35 runners from within the university will participate at the Kiel.Lauf covering all distances. Team captain chancellor Frank Eisoldt is looking forward to the competition with anticipation: “We will face this sporting challenge as a team and look forward to the support of those alongside the routing. Participating in the dragon boat race and the Kiel.Lauf helps us to express our bond with the city and its people. At the same time we want to create enthusiasm for the upcoming university jubilee among the general public.”
