"Today, we invite you to taste and experience the events and projects which have been planned for the jubilee year!" said Professor Lutz Kipp, President of Kiel University, today (Wednesday, 28 January) by way of welcoming the guests to the jubilee fair in Kiel University's Audimax. Kiel University (CAU) is inviting people to its 350th anniversary - to over 2,000 events involving exhibitions, research projects, celebrations and many cooperation events. At today's jubilee fair, more than 20 projects gave a first look at their plans and gave both visitors and university members a taste of the jubilee. Whether it was the initial contents from the commemorative publication, an international exhibition with the Schloss Gottorf on the sinking of the historical ship Prinsessan Hedvig Sophia, or the construction of a megalithic tomb at the Audimax: The CAU's programme of events for the year promises informative and fun activities. The programme booklet will be available on Campus as from today – hot off the press! All dates can be found online at:

The jubilee fair is part of an entire week of festivities from January 24 to 31. During this week various events such as concerts, a festival service, the jubilee ball and the annual reception will mark the start of the anniversary year 2015.
