Storm warning: Closure of "Anger-Bauten" and areas nearby

Due to the sustaining, very critical weather forecast, the University Board of Kiel University (CAU) has decided to suspend work and teaching at the “Anger-Bauten” (Ludewig-Meyn-Straße 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and Hermann-Rodewald-Straße 3, 5, 7, 9) and on the area around the “Anger-Bauten” from 12 o'clock today (Friday, January 9).

All lectures and events at these buildings are hereby cancelled.

The employees are exempted from their service obligation from 12 o'clock and asked to leave the campus. This means that any missed working hours from 12 o’clock onwards do not have to be compensated. Please do not hand in any time or attendance applications. The correction of the time accounts will be done centrally starting next week. There are no special regulations for employees with disabilities.

Emergency services are maintained. Additional information will be given to the heads of departments. People staying in university buildings (except for emergency staff) act at their own risk and without insurance protection in the event of an accident.

The annulment of closure will be announced at the university homepage www.uni-kiel.de/en) at latest by Saturday 4 pm as well as via Twitter (@kieluni). Please keep yourself informed.
