New building for agricultural institutes and the Computing Centre
The new building for the Faculty of Agricultural and Nutritional Sciences and part of the Computer Centre at Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (CAU) boasts flexible seminar rooms, state-of-the-art research areas, and a lush inner courtyard. Constructed as part of a public-private partnership (PPP) between the state of Schleswig-Holstein and VINCI Facilities Solutions, the building is situated on the former car park next to Mensa I.
With an estimated cost of around 42 million euros, the building is expected to be completed by autumn 2024. The investment is being funded through the state's IMPULS infrastructure programme and is managed by Gebäudemanagement Schleswig-Holstein AöR (GMSH). This modern laboratory and office building will offer not only research facilities but also office space for the computer centre.
