The young Kiel start-up my Boo, together with its partner, a social project in Ghana, manufactures bicycles out of bamboo and successfully combines direct social commitment, an innovative product and sustainable economic activity. "The Yonso Project" is dedicated to local education in Ghana, with the revenues generated there invested in education projects. To date, several hundred school scholarships have been funded, and construction of their own school has started. In addition, there are over 35 above-average, fairly-paid permanent jobs with a future. No bamboo bike is like any other - made by hand in 80 hours of painstaking craftsmanship, and finished in the company’s Kiel workshop.
