6:15pm: Keynote speaker Professor Wolfgang Ertmer, Vice President of the German Research Foundation (DFG)
“From science to industry? Challenges and setting the course for successfully transferring innovation”

Wolfgang ErtmerArtificial intelligence was invented in the western world, and it’s future lies in the Far East. This statement is nowadays rather undisputed. China is responsible for almost half of investments in AI start-ups worldwide. It will be the first technology to be dominated from China. The example of AI makes it clear that transferring innovation from science into industry is taking on a key position in terms of our social sustainability. But science and industry pursue different goals. In the long term, it will be very important to productively connect the two together - instead of sacrificing the goals of one for those of the other. The final word in innovative politics has not yet been spoken. Wolfgang Ertmer’s profile.
