This application is based on MyCoRe, an opensource framework for storage and retrieval of multimedia objects. MyCoRe is written in Java, an MyCoRe webapplication uses Java Servlets and is running within an Java application container.

MyCoRe uses XML techniques at several places, local adaptions are made by editing (lots of) XML config files, XSLT stylesheets and CSS stylesheets. MyCoRe can use several free and commercial backends to store it's objects. Queries are formulates in an backend independent way as XPath expressions. Internally MyCoRe transforms these expressions into query mechanisms that are offered by the used backends.

Currently MyCoRe is not used within KiBiDaNO to maintain the data, this is done within an external application. Data within both applications is synchronized once an hour.
