Ticket sales have started: TEDxKielUniversity conference on 12 November

Students and doctoral candidates at Kiel University have once again managed to obtain the sought-after licence for a conference in the form of the internationally-renowned TEDx. On 12 November, speakers will be illuminating this year’s subject of "Color Your Mind" from various perspectives and presenting their innovative ideas or personal experiences. Tickets for the third English-spoken conference in the Wissenschaftszentrum are on sale now. The event is open to anyone who is interested and not solely designed for students at Kiel’s universities.

In contrast to the previous years, there will be no application process for the tickets this year - “The tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis,” explained Annum Malik from the organisational team. “Even if you don’t manage to get one of these sought-after tickets, you can still watch the full talks online later, because they are all recorded,” she promises. The recordings from last year's conference have already been viewed over 7,000 times – and include lecturers from and associated with Kiel University in addition to internationally renowned speakers such as entrepreneur and women's rights activist, Zara Huseynova. Founder Marie Delaperričre talked about her efforts towards a world without waste, and student Elisabeth Panuschka spoke of her dream to sail in the Olympic Games in Rio.

About TEDx, x=independently organised TED event
TEDx is a programme of local, independently organised events devoted to ideas worth spreading, which brings people together to exchange experiences in a TED-like event. At a TEDx event, recordings of TED talks and speakers are brought together to inspire discussions and relations within a small group. These local, independently organised events are labelled TEDx, where the x stands for an independently organised TED event. The TED conference offers a guideline for the TEDx programme, but the individual TEDx events are independently organised (however, they are subject to certain rules and regulations).
